Raised in Cherokee County, NC, Crystal Davis has a heritage in this area stretching back before the Trail of Tears. Her great-great-grandpa walked the Trail of Tears to Oklahoma with his Native American wife of The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. However, the family soon returned to the farmland where Crystal lives now. Her family still operates a farming business on this land, which includes Cherokee County, NC, and Fannin County, GA. Crystal has a strong work ethic and sharp business instincts, developed from an early age by helping with the family farming business.
During Crystal’s childhood, her parents built and sold spec homes with Joey and Sonya Reid at Appalachian Land Company, which sparked Crystal’s interest in real estate. A go-getter, Crystal got her real estate license when she was 18 and began working at Appalachian Land Company at 19. Still close 30+ years later, Crystal considers the Reids family, and she’s grateful for being mentored by the “best of the best” in real estate.
Crystal is now a leader in the real estate industry, known for her business acumen and responsiveness to market conditions in service to her clients. Crystal is a Certified Residential Specialist, a designation achieved by only 3% of all Realtors. In 2008, she became Short Sale and Foreclosure Certified. She then started investing in and remodeling foreclosed properties. In 2015, Crystal became a licensed North Carolina contractor.
Crystal has brought together over 600 buyers and sellers and overseen the construction of over 50 homes. She is still bringing buyers and sellers together and continues with new construction projects like the development of 43 acres bordering the United States Forest Service. Crystal brings her clients an unmatched depth and breadth of certified real estate knowledge, lifelong business experience, and deep ties to the land. These qualities, plus her open, friendly, go-getter personality, make a winning combination that’s hard to beat.
Crystal spends her free time riding her Polaris Ranger, fishing, traveling, singing Southern Gospel Music, or enjoying the company of family and friends. She is involved with several Bible studies and has a 30-minute Bible study on Local TV 4, A Look in the Book with Pastor Dr. Eddis Dockery of Boiling Springs Baptist Church. She is a member and regularly attends Meadow Grove Baptist Church. One of her favorite sayings is, “I cannot boast of my faithfulness to God, but I can boast of his faithfulness to me.”
